When placing your order with Sainsbury & Sons we give an estimated delivery date which is made in good faith and is not legally binding. Whilst we make every effort to honour them, it must be recognised that they are estimates only and consequently we cannot accept any liability or damage claims resulting from overdue deliveries.
We have a £45 local delivery charge for all areas within 30 miles of Aberdeen City and includes our 2 man white glove service. For other areas, price on application.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate access for the goods purchased. Reasonable access must be provided but, if access to the property is not possible by normal means, alternative arrangements such as dismantling or alterations to the goods or property may be necessary at the risk and cost to the customer.
Delivery will be arranged within our normal designated days and offer an am or pm delivery. Requests for specially timed deliveries may be possible.
The customer must inspect all goods on delivery and advise the company of any shortage or damage, but should this be impractical because of packaging, shortage of time etc., written or verbal notification must be given within three days of delivery.
On the day of delivery, please ensure that our delivery team will be able to gain easy access to the room you furniture is for. We ask that the room is clear and ready for delivery of your new furniture. Our delivery team will unwrap and place the goods in the position you require, where required we will assemble Dining Tables, attach feet if required within our delivery cost. There may be additional charges to assemble Wardrobes. Our delivery team will remove all packaging from your home.
A 30% Deposit will be required at time of ordering.
Remaining balances must be paid on or before delivery and we accept cash, cheques, all major Credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
We also accept Bacs payments. Our Bank details will be given on request.
You are reminded that all orders placed with and accepted by us form part of a legally binding contract and we will always endeavour to act sympathetically to your requests. Orders once placed cannot be cancelled. Cancellation of goods sold from stock can only be made if cancelled within 48hrs of purchase date. All Deposits are non-refundable.
If you have ordered items from our ‘Warehouse stock’, subject to the clause below relating to ‘Special Order’ items you have the right to cancel your order at any time prior to delivery. We
If you are unable to take delivery of the goods when they become available storage can be arranged F.O.C for a maximum of 2 months, as long as payment of full outstanding balance is made immediately. Storage for longer periods may be arranged at the Company's discretion but may be chargeable.
We take care to ensure that all prices shown on our website are correct. However, occasionally errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered:
1. We will inform you as soon as possible, and
2. Give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.
3. If we are unable to contact you, or if you do not confirm your order at the correct price, the order will be cancelled.
Sainsbury & Son make every effort to ensure that your order is delivered in perfect condition and without defects. If however damage or faults are found on delivery our delivery team will photograph the damage/defect and fill out a Service form which they will request you to sign detailing the damage/defect. If damage/defect is found after delivery you MUST contact us within 30 days of delivery of your goods.
